Eunice M. Brabender, 98, of Marshall, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at Columbus Health and Rehab.
Eunice (Maughan) was born in Dodgeville, WI in 1923 and attended Dodgeville High School. Her early life was devoted to raising 13 children while also working for the University of Wisconsin, where she retired from in 1989. She was an avid reader, but enjoyed dancing several times a week, most of all. She was a constant source of love and encouragement to her entire family and was incredibly proud of, not only their accomplishments, but of the strong bonds they share.
Survivors include: sons, David (Janet); Jim (Amy); Mike (Kathy); Dan (Lisa); Tom (Marcia); Bill (Kim); John; Dennis (Angie); her daughters Judy (George) Minter; Betty (Mike) Porsche; Eunice (Lance) Venden; Jane (Jim) Cahoon-Bruhn, son-in-law Fred Rivera, 29 grandchildren; 35 Great-Grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and 2 brothers Don and Paul. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Audrey Rivera, father John, mother Audrey, sisters Hazel and Ruth, brother Holland, and her favorite dance partner Bob Larson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Parish- Waterloo Campus with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the mass.
